Dance and cheerleading is offered as a co-curricular activity for students in Years 1 to 12.
These activities are beneficial for both boys and girls as they promote fitness, teamwork, self-confidence, self-expression and commitment.
Our cheerleading and dance students are confident and self-assured individuals with a healthy self-image and they all enjoy being part of a team of positive role models.
Students audition at the end of each year to be placed into a group that best suits their age and ability.
During the Dance programme, students take part in a range of styles such as jazz, hip hop, lyrical and many more. Groups work towards developing their personal technique and performance style throughout the year.
In the Cheerleading programme, students develop skills in jumps, tumbling, dance and stunting. Groups follow correct safety progressions to develop their ability and to be able to further their technical expertise in Levels 1 to 4.
All students in the cheerleading and dance programme have opportunities to perform at school events, in the community and competitions.
Interstate and overseas tours are also available for these students.
