Instrumental Music Programme

Students from Years 1 – 12 have the opportunity to be involved in the ensemble based performance programme.

Instrumental opportunities include Concert Bands and String Orchestras and the world renowned Marching Eagles.

A contemporary music stream is also offered where students can specialise in jazz or rock styles and participate in ensembles such as Rock Bands and Big Bands.

Student involvement in the Instrumental programme is focused on participation in performance ensembles and is supported by enrolment in group lessons with the option of private tuition. Students may also elect to undertake music examinations such as A.M.E.B, A.B.R.S.M. and Trinity College.

Piano tuition is available for students from Prep, strings and guitar tuition from Year 3 and instrumental tuition from Year 5. Enrolment of younger students may be possible following consultation with and assessment by School of Performing Arts staff and final approval by the Director of Performing Arts.
