Development

Wesley resizeThe John Paul College Development Office exists to ensure that we continue to flourish and grow as the co-educational ecumenical College of choice and we actively raise funds to help further develop our school and its facilities.

We receive strong support from the John Paul College community, and are eternally grateful for this. Without their belief in our future, many of our projects would simply never eventuate.

Our Board of Directors has planned future development projects to support their vision for our future. We will also contribute to this development plan through the support of the whole College family.

Donations and Giving

Donations and bequests are sought to support the development plan and we would like to encourage our whole College family – past and present staff, parents, grandparents and students, friends – and philanthropists in the wider community to take the opportunity to be part of our exciting future.

We are focussed on affordability and accessibility. Although we receive part of its total budget from tuition fees and government funding, in order to advance the College, the public-private partnership needs to be strengthened through your support.

While fees and grants provide funding for the day-to-day operations, the academic opportunities and enhancements that will enable our Master Plan to be achieved much earlier than would occur otherwise, come from private gifts. Parents, staff, alumni and friends can make tax deductible gifts to the John Paul College Building Fund, which helps provide the financial means for new construction.

To Donate

All gifts really do make a difference.  No matter how small or large, all gifts are appreciated and benefit us greatly. Gifts of all amounts enhance available resources at the College and help improve the education received.

The John Paul College Building Fund has also introduced a programme which offers the opportunity to make a bequest. A bequest is a transfer, by Will, of personal property such as cash, shares, or other tangible property.  Making a bequest to John Paul College is a lasting way of investing in the future of our College. For further information regarding bequests, please contact our Director of Marketing and Communications, Mrs Niki Dowding on 07 3826 3333 or via email on ndowding@jpc.qld.edu.au.

While the College contributes to developments for the school, it is impossible to completely fund these projects.  As a result, our Development Office is vital in raising additional monies to advance the College through capital campaigns.

Our Aquatic Centre is a testament to the generosity of our community and is a fantastic addition to the facilities we offer. In 2011 our fundraising initiatives and donations allowed us to refurbish and open the Stephen Bean Theatre within the Dame Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Complex.

Corporate Partnerships

John Paul College offers a number of corporate partnerships each year for the sponsorship of College events. Corporate partnership benefits are valid for a full calendar year, either from the date of the sponsored event or from the date the partnership begins.  Many of our corporate partners stay with us for several events and have become an integral part of our College family.
