Boarder for a Weekend

‘Boarder for a Weekend’ is a great opportunity for prospective students to explore John Paul College and Fenton Boarding Village. The weekend invites families to learn all about the opportunities available and meet the people who could make a lasting difference in your child’s life.

Students will attend classes, meet teachers, reside during the stay in our boutique style villas, dine, partake in various activities and sample first-hand everything that John Paul College and the Fenton Boarding Village can provide.

‘Boarder for a Weekend’ will include the following:

  • Transport if required from Brisbane airport
  • 3 night stay at Fenton Village – students will arrive Thursday afternoon and depart Sunday morning
  • a full day on campus partaking in various subjects
  • all meals
  • registrations to any Boarding activities

For visiting parents the following activities are available:

  • transport if required from Brisbane airport and transfers if required from accommodation to the Village
  • private Tour of the John Paul Campus and Fenton Boarding Village conducted by an Alumnus of the College and Head of Boarding
  • dinner with the Head of Boarding
  • Friday evening dinner and activities at Fenton Boarding Village

The week before your visit, you will be assigned a John Paul College student as your personal guide and villa-mate. This student will happily assist you to meet various people within Boarding and around the Campus.

Prospective students attending Boarder for a Weekend will need to bring the following items with them:

  • pillow
  • blanket
  • toiletries
  • 3 sets of causal clothes (please include a warm set of clothes also)
  • their current school uniform (to be worn to the College on Friday)
  • swimwear
  • any personal item/s they would like to bring from home to help them settle in

Students are permitted to bring personal devices, however devices will be required to be handed in at certain times of the day as per our Boarding policies. The boarding village will supply sheets, towels, all meals and all transport needs during their visit.

    John Paul College can assist to arrange accommodation needs for all caregivers. We would also like to invite you to a personal tour of the campus and attend a dinner in the Boarding Village with our Head of Boarding and staff.
