Good health is a foundation for successful learning and at the John Paul College Health Centre, we encourage students and staff to experience life to their full potential, promote positive health and support each member of the College family.
Centrally located on campus, the Health Centre is open daily from 8.00 am – 4.00 pm during term time.
Our staff are registered nurses who provide a high level of nursing care for students and staff who fall ill or are injured during the school day.
They adhere to the National School Nursing Professional Practice Standards, demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of School Nursing, incorporating the Health and Development of the child and adolescent, within a set framework of nursing practice.
In partnership with parents and teachers, our staff assists to enact Individual Health Care Plans to support students with underlying health issues.
Each student has a confidential Medical Record completed by parents or guardians on admission with regular updates ensure the delivery of accurate and current health care.
Procedures for students to access the Centre along with an emergency plan, are in place to maximize the security and wellbeing of our students.
