A Pastoral Care program has been established to provide a sound system of support, guidance and supervision of students. Heads of Year take responsibility for one particular year level, allowing for a deeper knowledge of each student’s pastoral welfare.
The daily monitoring of student progress is the immediate responsibility of the Pastoral Care Teacher who meets regularly with the Pastoral Care class. It is the Pastoral Care Teacher who knows each student in the widest sense and is the first point of contact with problems or queries.
Education is a shared experience between the school and home.
Parents are encouraged to contact their child’s Pastoral Care Teacher or Teaching staff to discuss any aspect of the progress. Regular communication with parents allows teachers to work in conjunction with the home to achieve the best possible educational outcomes for each student.
