John Paul College is immensely proud of the graduating Class of 2016.
Our Year 12 students achieved excellent results, with 28% achieving an OP of between 1 and 5 and 83% achieving an OP of between 1 – 15. In addition, 13 students were awarded an OP 1 or OP 1 equivalent.
Headmaster, Peter Foster, attributes these excellent results to the ongoing preparation for the Queensland Core Skills (QCS) programme throughout Years 11 and 12 at the College.
“There is no doubt that this preparation has strengthened the academic rigour of our students,” he said.
Congratulations to Jesse Firman, Declan Flynn, Anisha Gandhi, Yashvrdhan Khanna, Andrew Lee, Samantha Subaaharan and Seohyun Yoon who achieved an OP 1 and Matthew Doan, Kana Fujii, Denys Kovtun, Ellie Lee, Jack Martin and Lucy Ock who achieved an OP1 equivalent.
This is an amazing achievement academically, because on average across Queensland, 2.77% of students have been awarded an OP 1 whilst at John Paul College, 5.41% of students have been awarded an OP 1.
We are very proud of our staff and students on achieving this outcome.
