Creativity - Imagination - Inventiveness - Learning

At JPC, we believe the potential for the children in our care is unlimited. Our child-focused approach encourages children to be active participants in their learning environment as they discover, create and imagine many possibilities.

During the first years of life, children are working on acquiring a sense of the trustworthiness of themselves and others. This is the sense of safety and security that comes from responsive and predictable care from familiar others to whom the child is attached. As children grow, a strong sense of autonomy is building. This comes from being treated as an individual and being allowed opportunities for independence. When children feel a sense of independence, power, and competence, they can step out into the world and be active learners and problem solvers.

Young children need a safe environment full of opportunities to explore and have fun. They need to be able to see, touch, feel, and move. Our Early Learning Centre is committed to providing quality care for your child, creating a warm, safe and nurturing environment that responds to your child’s individual needs.

Our Early Learning Centre is an integral part of our community. Children who start with us at JPC in the Early Learning Centre can enjoy a nurturing and safe educational journey culminating in their graduation in Year 12. Please note a separate application is required for Kindergarten through Year 12.

Our purpose is To Educate, To Inspire, To Make a Difference.

Our Programs

JPC Difference
  • Value the individuality of each child
  • Stimulate each child’s natural desire to learn
  • Enhance each child’s development of their social, emotional, physical, spiritual, language and cognitive development
  • Engage in Effective two-way communication between parents and the Centre; recognising families as the most important people in children’s lives
  • Warm and professional Early Childhood Educators that will make a lasting difference in your child's life.

Our Program is implemented through the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and provides a flexible approach to planning and programming that essentially derives from the child. We align ourselves with the standards and assessment of the National Quality Framework as guided by the National Quality Framework and the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).

The Framework has a strong emphasis on play-based learning and aims to achieve five overall Learning Outcomes:

  • Children have a strong sense of identity
  • Children are connected with and contribute to their world
  • Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
  • Children are confident and involved learners
  • Children are effective communicators.

Our daily program is spontaneous, not structured or predetermined, and our child-focused approach encourages children to be active participants in their own learning environment.
