Physical Education and Healthy Living

In our ever-changing world, we understand that we need to provide students with the required knowledge, life skills and tools to maintain peak physical, mental and emotional health.

Our Physical Education and Healthy Living Faculty strives to develop positive life-long outcomes and attitudes towards physical activity and health. We provide an enriched and diverse environment that aims to develop the core values of the College by exposing students to a variety of practical and theoretical activities. This structure builds student confidence and self-efficacy through a range of activities ranging from individual, non-competitive tasks through to competitive team games.

Our quality teaching staff place emphasis on developing motor skills, movement competence, tactical knowledge and fitness, and health literacy skills, as well as providing students with the skills to make informed decisions about their physical, mental, social and emotional health, all while encouraging a sense of community and social connectedness.

The development of health literacy skills is essential for people to increase control over their health and for better management of disease and risk, at both an individual and population level.
