I am pleased to update you on the College’s new facilities master plan which provides a plan for the ongoing development of our College’s wonderful facilities and environment. There has been significant work undertaken by a large cross-section of our staff, parents, students, board members and expert consultants over the past year in developing the outcome document ‘John Paul College Master Plan 2021 – 2040’, which is available on the College’s website for the information of the College community.
The College commissioned Deicke Richards Architects in March 2018 to lead the development of the new facilities master plan. Extensive stakeholder and expert consultation commenced in July 2018 with an in-house forum attended by over seventy staff, parents, students and experts who developed the nine design principles which have guided the facilities planning process. Various planning and engagement sessions held since then have contributed to the final document. The master plan identifies many exciting new facilities in addition to improved access across the campus while maintaining the College’s much loved natural environment.
We are very excited to now commence the next stage of identifying the first new facilities for development and undertaking detailed design work for construction. We once again look forward to engaging with our community in the design process for individual facilities and will keep you informed on progress into the future.
