In early August, our JPC families of students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 received their child/ren’s NAPLAN report for 2023. NAPLAN is a point-in-time snapshot of our students; however, the importance of the data lies in how we can track progress over time. JPC uses the information to review how our students are progressing and we are looking for growth over time, as education is all about growth.
NAPLAN also allows our staff to benchmark how our curriculum is developing important skills and competencies in the areas of literacy and numeracy.
At JPC, we support NAPLAN and use the information as it is intended, to help support the intellectual development of our students.
As the data attests, in all NAPLAN assessment areas, our students have demonstrated exceptional competence and skill. Their results place them well above the state average, which is a testament to their commitment to learning and the dedication of our talented teaching staff.
With much pride, I share with you the 2023 NAPLAN data for Years 3, 5, 7 and 9.
Congratulations to all – keep up the hard work!
Year 6 PYP ExhibitionOur Year 6 Students had the biggest event of their Primary School journey at the IB PYP Exhibition, where they showcased the knowledge and skills learned from the PYP programme since Prep.
