In honour of International Women's Day, JPC hosted a breakfast event with our extended JPC community, students, staff and parents. We heard from guest speaker Alumnus, Ms Daena Berkhout (2008) who is an inspirational young woman with a heart of gold. She spoke about her desire from a young age 'to change the world and make a difference' and to find something you care about more than yourself to make positive changes in the world.
As a development manager for Mercy Community, Daena works closely with those in our local community who are at risk to make better choices and decisions for their life. All money raised will be directly donated to Mercy Community and the fabulous work they do. Thank you to those who attended, it was a powerful morning.
