The Eagle Magazine Summer 2022 JPC

Since the inception of John Paul College in 1982, JPC’s reputation as a nationally acclaimed Performing Arts School has grown, recognised for the outstanding professionalism of our productions and performances, the success of our alumni and the quality of our performing arts staff. Performing arts promotes the development of the heart, mind and soul, reflecting our purpose at JPC: To Educate, To Inspire, To Make a Difference. The JPC Ruby Gala Performance celebrated and honoured our students’ love for performing. Bringing together many performing arts disciplines, this event solidified our status as the ‘Performing Arts School of the Year’. The Ruby Gala showcased dancers, singers, actors and musicians from Years Four to Twelve. The collaborative performances included old favourites from musicals of the past and some that were created purely to get the audience up and dancing. ‘Thunderstruck’, ‘What Time is it?’, ‘Party Rock Anthem’ and ‘ABBA medley’ were among the crowd favourites. This red-carpet evening to celebrate the wonderful 40 years of John Paul College was a blast for both the audience and student performers alike. 32 THE EAGLE SUMMER 2022
