Michael Dolce Q&A and Masterclass Our Contemporary Music students had the opportunity to meet and workshop with the house guitarist from The Voice, Mr Michael Dolce. Michael has enjoyed a long and successful career performing with artists such as Kylie Minogue, Delta Goodrem, Boy George, Keith Urban and many others. Our students enjoyed the opportunity to listen to him speak about his experiences building his career in the industry, his approach to success and his experiences working in the demanding environment playing for the house band of the well- known TV show, The Voice . To cap it all off he finished up with a guitar masterclass for our most senior guitarists and some special guests from our friends at Clairvaux MacKillop College. In the masterclass, students enjoyed the opportunity to refine their improvisation skills and hear examples on the topic played by Michael himself. Our students greatly enjoyed the opportunity and have come away from the experience feeling inspired. 34 THE EAGLE SUMMER 2022 Our Senior Rock Band, Exit 24, performed in the 2022 Battle of the Rock Bands in August this year. This event is expertly created to allow up-and-coming contemporary music students to enjoy the full rock and roll experience. With a full sound crew to cater to their needs, a massive light show, and an enthusiastic student audience to cheer on their every move, Exit 24 was awarded 3rd place overall, with Year Eleven student, Oliver Radcliffe receiving the award for Most Outstanding Keys Player.
