Excellent Results

We congratulate the graduating Class of 2025 on their outstanding exit results. We are incredibly proud of their resilience, determination, and focus, contributing to their remarkable achievements in the sixth year of the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR). Their hard work and perseverance have set them up for continued success.

We are delighted to inform you that 99.4% of students have achieved a Queensland Certificate of Education. This is a wonderful reflection on our students and our Academic Management Program.

ATAR Results

John Paul College is celebrating an exceptional academic achievement, with four students attaining ATAR scores of 99.90 or above – placing them among the highest-achieving students in Queensland.

One student achieved an outstanding ATAR of 99.95, a result earned by only 37 students across the state, while three additional students achieved ATARs of 99.90. Together, these results place the students within the top fraction of one percent of Queensland graduates.

We are immensely proud of our ATAR-eligible cohort for achieving an outstanding median ATAR of 91, with more than half of our students attaining an ATAR above 90.00.

88% of the total Year 12 cohort in 2025 were ATAR-eligible. ATAR results are calculated by the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) and are treated as confidential. They are only released to each individual student who has the option to share their results with the College. Therefore, the statistics below represent ATAR results known to the College and represent 81% of our ATAR-eligible students.

  • Top ATAR: Congratulations to Chanu Jung, who achieved an exceptional ATAR of 99.95
  • 12% of the known ATAR-eligible Year 12 cohort achieved an ATAR of 99.00 or above, placing them in the top 1% of the state
  • 32% of the known ATAR-eligible Year 12 cohort achieved an ATAR of 95.00 or above, placing them in the top 5% of the state
