Car Parking Routine Changes

Over the holidays we have undertaken several projects to improve the efficiency and safety of car parking at the College. These changes to our Chatswood and Markwell Car Parks are designed to enhance traffic flow and prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, and College community. These changes have been thoughtfully designed with this focus at the forefront.

Chatswood Car Park Update

  • The Chatswood Road Car Park has now been renamed as the Chatswood Car Park with an upper and lower section.
  • There are 14 new 'Drop-off and Pick-up' bays located in front of the Retail Centre and Kindergarten. To access the 'Drop-off and Pick-up' area, please enter through Entry 3 in the Upper Chatswood Car Park.
  • Two marquees have been installed along the 'Drop-off and Pick-up' fence perimeter for all weather shelter during afternoon pick-up.  Staff will supervise students during the afternoon pick-up.
  • At pick-up time, cars in the 'Drop-off and Pick-up' area bays for more than five minutes will be directed to loop back and join the end of the line. The priority is keeping the traffic moving.
  • Designated parking spaces for parents can be accessed by entering Entry 3, turning right immediately to avoid the 'Drop-off and Pick-up' area, or via Entry 4.
  • Please note that the Mayflower Car Park (Entry 5) no longer has a 'Drop-off and Pick-up' area, and the Mayflower Street entry is now an exit and an entry. Please do not queue here for the 'Drop-off and Pick-up' area.
  • Secondary School Student Leaders ('Car Park Superheros') will assist students in getting to class or The ARC during the morning routine.

  • Primary School Morning Routine
    • Prep Students: During Term 1, parents may drop their child at the classroom from 8.15am.
    • Year 1 and 2 Students: Use the 'Drop-off and Pick-up' service. Students arriving between 8.00am and 8.15am will be supervised in The ARC before proceeding to classrooms at 8.15am.
    • Students from Years 3 to 6: Use the 'Drop-off and Pick-up' service. Students arriving before 8.15am will wait respectfully outside their classrooms. All other areas, including playgrounds and courts, are out of bounds before 8.15am.

Tips for Chatswood Car Park

  • Arrive before 8.20am to avoid congestion.
  • If multiple children are collected, arrive when the eldest child is dismissed at 3.15pm from class.
  • Use OSHC for early drop-offs or late pick-ups to reduce pressure on car park timings.

Markwell Car Park

  • On the southern side of the Markwell Car Park (Entry 1), adjacent to the forested area, a 40-metre covered 'Drop-off and Pick-up' facility has been installed. This facility will now be the main 'Drop-off and Pick-up' facility for Secondary School students.
  • At pick-up, cars in the 'Drop-off and Pick-up' area bays for more than five minutes will be directed to loop back and join the end of the line. The priority is keeping the traffic moving.
  • Parents will no longer be able to pick up students in the areas closest to the Markwell Lawns or in front of the Markwell Centre.

Markwell Car Park Routines

  • Secondary School Morning Routine
    • Drop-off is between 7.50am and 8.15am.

FANNING CAR PARK

Students studying High School Preparation should be dropped off at the Fanning Car Park (Entry 6) off Daisy Hill Road. Parents must park in this car park, which does not have a Drop-off and Pick-up facility.
