It was a standing ovation on opening night at the Redland Performing Arts Centre on Thursday 13 July for the first of 4 stellar shows of Hairspray - The Musical (Marc Shaiman, Scott Wittman, Mark O'Donnell & Thomas Meehan).
With upbeat and show-stopping hits such as 'Good Morning, Baltimore', 'Big, Blonde and Beautiful' and 'You Can't Stop the Beat', the audience was laughing along, even grooving in their seats and dancing with the cast. Featuring stunning costumes, sets and lighting, arguably JPC's best musical yet.
