| We are thrilled to congratulate Mrs Saskia Pietrobon (Class of 1990), who has been named an Excellence Awardee for Primary School Teacher of the Year – Non-Government at the 2026 Australian Education Awards.
Now in their ninth year, the Australian Education Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of the country’s top performing schools, principals and teachers across 29 categories. This year’s winners will be announced at a prestigious black-tie gala at the Fullerton Hotel in Sydney on 7 August 2026.
A proud College alumnus, Saskia returned to JPC where her own journey began and has dedicated 28 years of service to our community. As Learning Leader for Prep to Year 2, she has led transformational improvements in early literacy and numeracy, embedded evidence-based programs, mentored early-career teachers and collaborated with allied health professionals to ensure every child is supported to thrive.
To be named an Excellence Awardee at a national level is a remarkable achievement and a true reflection of the passion and dedication Saskia brings to John Paul College every single day. We couldn’t be prouder!
