
We are excited to announce John Paul College’s Head of Digital Integration and Innovation, Mrs Candace Neville, has been recognised in ‘The Educators Hot List’ for 2024. This prestigious list celebrates professionals who represent the cutting edge of educational excellence in Australia.
The Educator highlights Mrs Neville as a trailblazer in innovation and sustainability within the education landscape for our students and staff. One of Mrs Neville’s standout initiatives is the 1:1 iPad Program for Year 3 students, which fosters digital literacy by embedding iPads into daily lessons. This program provides personalised and interactive learning experiences, empowering students to engage with technology in meaningful and creative ways. She drives sustainability education with hands-on projects, including the Year 6 Wind Turbine Blade Project, where students design wind turbine blades, and the Year 4 Sustainability Cardboard Moulding activity, repurposing cardboard into plant pots to emphasise recycling.
Her leadership extends to a College-wide Pedagogical Consultation, introducing mixed reality learning focused on sustainable design, ensuring seamless integration of technology across the curriculum. She mentors educators in integrating digital tools into their practices, boosting confidence and innovation in teaching which overall enhances the educational experience for students.
As a key member of John Paul College’s Innovation and Sustainability Committees, Mrs Neville plays a vital role in advancing the College’s strategic goals. Her expertise in technology drives innovative curriculum enhancements, fostering a future-focused learning environment.
