At John Paul College, the Performing Arts are a vibrant expression of creativity, collaboration and confidence. Our Performing Arts Excellence Scholarships recognise students who demonstrate exceptional talent and commitment in music, drama or performance, and who embody the spirit of artistic excellence that enriches our College community.
These scholarships support students who not only display outstanding skill and potential in their chosen discipline, but who also contribute meaningfully to the broader life of the College through participation, leadership and service. Through this program, we seek to nurture emerging artists who inspire others and bring our College values to life on stage and beyond.
Excellence Performing Arts Scholarships are offered based on:
- students must be commencing/studying in Years 7 to 11 in 2027
- students who have demonstrated strong academic achievements, providing NAPLAN tests and their last two years of school reports
- students who will contribute fully to the holistic nature of the College through strong participation in our Performing Arts Programs
- students who demonstrate qualities compatible with the values and ethos of the College
- students must meet or exceed the recommended requirements of AMEB Grade 4 or equivalent to be considered for an audition.
Students excelling in any performing arts discipline are encouraged to apply.
The Principal reserves the right to privilege certain instruments/or performance types, dependent on the needs of the College at the time of application.
Applicants are also required to provide a portfolio of achievements to accompany their application. Eligible candidates will then be invited to the second stage of the application, which will involve preparing an audition piece.
