John Paul College Sports Excellence Scholarships recognise students who demonstrate exceptional athletic ability, discipline, and teamwork, qualities that reflect our pursuit of excellence both on and off the field. These scholarships are designed to support talented athletes who strive for high-level performance in their chosen sport while maintaining a strong commitment to their academic studies.
Recipients are expected to embody the College's values of Mutual Respect, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence, contributing positively to the spirit and success of our sporting community. Through this program, we aim to nurture student-athletes who lead with courage, character and commitment, and who inspire others through their example and dedication.
Excellence Sport Scholarships are offered to:
- students commencing/studying in Years 7 to 11 in 2027
- students who have demonstrated strong academic achievements, providing NAPLAN tests and their last two years of school reports
- students who have been competing at least at the state or national level in their chosen sport/s
- students who will contribute fully to the holistic nature of the College through strong participation in our Sporting Programs
- students who demonstrate qualities compatible with the values and ethos of the College.
Students excelling in any sporting discipline are encouraged to apply.
The Principal reserves the right to privilege certain sports over others based on the needs of the College at the time of application.
